I’m Nathan Hurst, the founder and lead photographer of Atelier Héritage, where photography is more than just capturing a fleeting moment—it’s about preserving a legacy. Each image I create is a tribute to love, family, and life’s most meaningful chapters—heirlooms of the heart—crafted to endure the test of time and resonate through generations.
My journey into photography began with humble beginnings—a simple iPhone 4 and a deep desire to capture the beauty in the world around me. Those early days were filled with learning and discovery, as I navigated my way through the art of storytelling with images. It wasn’t until my 21st birthday, when I received my first camera, that photography truly captured my heart. The play of light, the intricate details, and the honesty revealed in every frame fascinated me.
Though my initial career path led me into design and digital media, the call of photography was too powerful to ignore. In 2019, I returned to it with renewed passion, soon finding myself documenting weddings, engagements, and countless cherished moments.
Today, my passion lies in capturing your essence—your vibrant joy, the deep love you share, and the fleeting moments that deserve to be treasured forever. My approach is grounded in authenticity, allowing moments to unfold naturally and preserving their genuine beauty. I’m based in Perth and more than happy to travel for your photoshoots! Any location within 80km of Perth is included, but for sessions beyond that, travel charges will apply. For destinations over 80km, I’ll provide a personalised quote.
